I've been asking realtors for recommendations for Lenders, Pm's, and Contractors. Is this a bad idea or can i trust their recommendations are mutually beneficial for me as well?

Realtors (and all agents) are prohibited by law from receiving any type of compensation from people they refer you to. Often times, because they are dealing with real estate on a daily basis, their network of professionals are top notch (though not always). If you trust your agent, there is no reason not to trust their referrals.
