Bank recommendations for first loan in SE Massachusetts

My GF and I will begin shopping for our first mortgage ever next week. We are looking for a multifamily in New Bedford. The plan is FHA loan, live in for a year or so, refi and repeat. There seems to be so many variables.. rates, closing costs, yadda yadda.

Can anyone recommend a local bank? I've heard good things about St. Annes CU and I have a friend who is a loan officer for Citizen's. I'd like to shop a few within a short time so as to take advantage of the 1 credit pull loophole.

thanks
