Rising Interest Rates 2016

I've read and heard that interest rates are expected to rise significantly in 2016...

Should this be a motivating factor for someone like myself who is looking to househack a multifamily using FHA fixed 30 year mortgage?

I'm not necessarily on a time constraint to purchase and am currently just saving for downpayment... however I'd like to take advantage of low interest rate while I still can.

Thoughts/Opinions appreciated.

My strategy currently is to lock in as much debt as I can while rates are still low. That being said....we can not predict where interest rates will go.  5-7 years ago when we first hit 5%, no one thought it was possible for rates to go lower, and they almost hit as low as 3%.  Even since the Fed announced they were raising rates...we have actually seen mortgage rates fall. The market can operate in very strange and counter intuitive ways often.
