How do I find the mortgage balance?
I am trying to find the mortgage balance owed on a property, I was told it's public records on the clerk of court website but I don't seem to see it...? I'm looking in Hillsborough county, FL.

No, you won't find a current balance on the clerk's site. How do you possibly imagine that could be? You will find the original mortgage amount when it was recorded, and the terms. The only way for you to find the balance is through the owner, from a recent statement, or from the bank if the owner gives you a proper AuthorizationTo Release information document for the loan. If the loans were current, and never modified or prepaid, you could do the amortization.
