Mortgage company shopping

We just got our next personal home under contract, due to close Oct 2nd.  Just before the Oct 3rd changes take effect!

It's been a long time since I've shopped mortgages since  I've paid cash for my investments.  Can anybody give me advice of where they shop?  Any stellar companies to definitely look at?

We are in Broken Arrow, OK (a suburb of Tulsa).

Thanks!

@John Lindemann Your Realtor should be a great resource in pointing you towards a lender.  When I am recommending lenders to my clients, the lender I suggest to them is actually different based on the client.  If I know that the client has not so great credit, I point them towards a lender that will actually do a preapproval based off of underwriting requirements, so we have a  much firmer idea of if they will qualify and for exactly how much. If they have stellar credit I send them to a different lender that usually gets the bottom rate possible.  If they are someone who wants as smooth of a transaction as possible, then I send them to a different lender.
