Weird underwriter questions

I've had all kinds of demands over the years from underwriters including once when Bank of America demanded I provide my actual IRS tax filing extension, not a copy, not a certified copy from my CPA, and not a letter from my CPA saying I had filed an extension, the actual extension- took two months to clear that one up.

However, until Thursday I had never been asked what did I get my college degrees in and where did I go to college.  I've gotten dozens of loans over the years and I've applied for dozens more.  No one had asked those questions before. I can guess at the relevancy, but ...

I'm curious what weird questions underwriter's have asked other people?
