Information on Loan Origination?

I'm looking to slowly build my skills as a loan originator and any secondary sources like online courses, seminars or books to improve my limited knowledge on the subject would be great. I'm primarily involved with property flipping, however I'll be doing my own loans and wish in the future to branch off and do loans for friends, family and referrals. I work now with a Hard Money based company, however in order to start taking calls I need to shadow in the office which I simply don't have time to do at the moment.

Sooooo, what I'm looking for is a head start. I need to familiarize myself with terms and techniques specific not only to hard money, but sub-prime, prime and A-paper. I have a feeling this is something you need to do daily, shopping for lenders and such, but going in knowing almost nothing is not my style and would leave me uncomfortable. I also have a friend who is a one call closer, the guy is amazing, so I'm learning what I can from him as well.

MODS: If this is the wrong forum could you please re-direct my Thread to the correct one? Thnx
