Looking for Recommendations / Advice on Mortgage Brokers - First Time Investor
Hi, Im a first time RE investor. I have been reading and doing a lot of research. I have some target markets, but nothing solid. I am starting my journey, and one thing I would really like to figure out is how much can I borrow so I can narrow down my search. There are properties that seem to pencil out, but I just dont know if I can afford it. I know there are different investment strategies - BRRR, STR, LTR, Fix/Flip, etc. Let me know if I need to narrow any of this down (target market/Investment strategy) before going to get Pre-Qualified. And if anyone knows of any suggested RE Brokers / Banks in the NYC tri-state area it would be very helpful.

It's not "figure out what I can do and then talk to a loan originator." It's "talk to a loan originator in order to figure out what I can do."
The way you asked that is basically "I need to figure out what exact type of cancer that I have, before I talk to a doctor" or "I need to figure out what condition my car is in, before I talk to a mechanic." That's bass ackwards. :)
