Is it worth submitting comps to an HML

One youtube video said it may help them see your perspective for an appraised value. I have my doubts but wanted to ask.

Edit: I also have a local realtor who does BPOs for me. They are informal though, a simple quote over email.

A BPO or appraisal will help. But ultimately, the hard money lender will make their own decision in terms of value. 

Some hard money lenders do not use appraisals or BPOs.
