HELOC to buy forever home and then sell current one
Hi. Currently have a large HELOC that I opened when the housing market sky rocketed. Our house is currently for sale, and we were declined an offer on another house because of the Sale of Property Condition (SOP) that we had since we need the down payment from the funds of our sale. However, we just realized that we have enough available funds on our HELOC for a down payment. Would this be feasible to waive the SOP? We really want this house but they wont take an SOP. Can i not just write a cheque from my HELOC? I understand that our house would still need to sell and the HELOC would be closed when the deal closes. Any information would help
