DTI and Commercial Mtg question
Hi,
Can anyone comment on what happens to my personal DTI if I do a 1031 exchange for a multifamily property at a much higher valuation?
I've heard that lenders do not factor personal DTI into determining willingness to loan against a fully leased income generating property. I'm thinking of using the proceeds from the sale of a SF rental to purchase a multifamily property that would mean taking on a mortgage in the $1.7-$2.5M range.
