Ready to get started

I finally got my parents on deck to support my real estate journey rather then the traditional college route. I am ready to leave the educational phase, even though it is really comfortable, and want to put my first deal together. I have a few advantages starting out then most. My dad works mostly in new construction homes and has been a carpenter his whole life. I also have a family member private money lender who wants to invest in me. I am asking the BP community, how would you start if you were in my position? What ways would I be able to best use my fathers skillset and private money in line for my first deal?

FYI I'm located just south of Pittsburgh in a small town called Canonsburg if any local investors would like to connect!

It seems like you have a lot of resources starting out and are set up well to do so. I would start to think of things in terms of partnerships though. If you have family in the new construction and the private lending  space then that is great but in the future you will have to provide value to the deal. They may help in the beginning but whether it is learning how to find the deal or provide financing or the knowledge etc... It is important to keep that in mind for others deals or other partnerships. Best of luck @Jack Hritsko
