New investors in Kansas City

Hello! I am brand new to bigger pockets and I am excited already. My husband and I purchased our first home about a year and a half ago. It is a single family 3 bed 1.5 bath outside of Kansas City, Kansas. It is our full time home. Our goal is to purchase a second home within the next two years and keep this property as a rental. Our hope is to spend the next two years learning and saving, so we really are at the very start of our journey. I would like to break down this larger goal into smaller steps, but I’m struggling to discover what those steps might be. Any suggestions or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Also interested in meeting other investors in the area. Thanks!
