Fair Use Photos - Should I use them??

Mitchell Bell
Posted

We bought our home 2 years ago, and the listing photos were amazing. Knowing that we were going to rent the house I saved them all from Zillow.  Now we are getting ready to list our house for rent on Zillow. We have taken a couple new photos to show improvements but many of the stages photos are still applicable.

Can I create the listing with the photos I took and the photos I saved? I have found many fair use vs copyright infringement articles on the internet, but I’m looking for some real world experience.

I’m listing it as an individual, not via a property manager.

If I’m not supposed to use them without permission and I do, is the worst thing that can happen a cease and desist?
