University building on my property

Hello all,

I have an unusual situation. I own a property in an area the is undergoing a lot of transformation. It's a college town and the university has bought almost all of the houses surrounding mine. They recently knocked down two houses next to mine (one in front and the second to the right of my house). After they knocked down these houses they removed the debris and covered the space surrounded my house with what looks like hay from what i can tell in the pictures. What makes this situation unique is directly next to my house I had space for two parking spots which were gravel. That is no longer there. They basically flattened everything surrounding my house and placed this hay practically up to the front door.

What do you think? I did think about selling the house to the university b/c my house is literally in middle of a bunch of university-owned parking/land. How do I treat the fact they basically encroached my property? All advice, suggestions, and opinions are appreciated.
