Possible Asbestos - In Contract w/ Inspection Contingency

I am in contract on my first property in CT, 2 family home built in 1915.  We just completed the inspection and the only concerning item is "possible" Asbestos (a couple of feet of it in the basement).  My concern is the seller won't agree to remediate the issue b/c of the cost associated and having to deal with the current tenants (both units are fully occupied).

I don't want to lose the deal over this (there is a backup offer on the table, full asking).  However, I have no idea what the Asbestos Abatement process is and how much it could possibly cost me. This is my first deal, so im extra cautious.

If anyone has any experience with Asbestos abatement, while the property is fully occupied, pls let me know if you have any helpful tips to share.

Asbestos floor tiles? It doesn't need anything. Just lay another floor over it. Every single home in my market built from 1940-1970 has asbestos floor tiles.
