What to Say On Voicemail Greeting?

I'm setting up a google voice # for my wholesaling business. I wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions as to what to say on the voicemail greeting?  Should i make it more professional, or personal?  Any tips would be much appreciated!

Although that voice mail was great, it was over a minute and a half long!  On my google voicemail, I simply said, "hi this, Carrie with C&C properties, please leave your name and number and I will call you as soon as I can.  Have a great day!"  I want whoever calls to feel like I'm there for them, and not have any pressure.  I think too long of a message with too munch information could freak a person out when it came to something like this.

It depends on what you are advertising.  Are you sending mailers that are not business like and more personable?  If it's more personal, I would keep it simple.  "Hi you've reached Bradley.  Sorry I missed your call.  Please leave your name and # and I'll get back to you as soon as possible."

Michael, I think is great to weed out the tire kickers-would love to test it on this last drop we did this past weekend. Do you happen to have the greeting written out? I will also have to cut it down some as I am using google voice.

I want people to listen to the entire message.  It's full of embedded commands and call to action.   Which is why it's starts off saying to listen to the entire message.  The biggest thing it does is filter.    Motivated sellers will listen and do what it tells them to do.

And it works.  I bet I have 200 investors across the county using it.   And some for going on three years.

However some will disagree.  I have one with a baby laughing and dog barking family voicemail however it doesn't server the goal. But does sound good and is short.

My thought on this is, if you are just starting out like myself being the sole employee, make it simple, personal and open even to the tire kickers so as to learn the business. You can then implement a more restrictive greeting strategy after that. What do you all think? :)
