Debt Free College Student, Where do I Start?
Hi BP,
My name is Tyler and I’m currently enrolled in a community college that is provided free through my state’s scholarship program. I’m currently about to take the last step in getting my real estate license, which is taking the dreaded last test, then I’ll be a full fledged real estate agent. My plan is to work, as a real estate agent, through college and end up getting a bachelors degree with a major in real estate from my local university. From there I’ll try to close on my first investment property and continue to scale from there. Weirdly enough, though I’ve never had a job or a loan or even a credit card, my credit score (via credit karma) is 789, and has a history of almost 36 years. So maybe that means my dad set me up something before I was born? My question is, what should I do to look more like an asset instead of a liability to lenders? Are lenders likely to accept a loan application from a rookie real estate agent that’s never had a job before? I have a lot of doubts and a lot of worries that go along with my plan.
Sorry if this is a lot to unpack, I just have no idea where to begin.
I’m looking forward to reaching each response thoroughly 😀
