Dallas, Texas - Looking for Feedback on the area
Hello BP Community!
Im a local New Jersey investor and looking to solicit some feedback on a new location to invest. I am new to real estate investing and currently have a single family property in New Jersey which cash flows very well; unfortunately the market here is getting a little expensive.
Im currently considering Dallas and/or Jacksonville as my next market and I was hoping to see if anyone had any feedback / perspectives on the areas.
Thanks!
Matt

Hi Matthew,
To give you some perspective New Jersey is 8,729 sq. miles, and the Dallas-Ft Worth MMA is 9,286 sq. miles and is home to around 8 million people.
It is made up of 11 counties some crime filled, some more expensive.
A better way to think about this might be to narrow your thinking a bit, and research the counties to figure out which ones offer you the best fit for your particular investing profile, then take a trip there for a couple of weeks and just drive the place (Texas is NOT New Jersey).
For me, the visuals in this video pretty much sum up Dallas (in a very broad sense): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn8YuDqFo6o
And if you go, you could pick up a nice pair of Lucchese Boots to Wow the folks back home: https://www.lucchese.com/shop/mens/boots/view-all/
Good Luck!
