Where do you hold your next down payment

Quick and to the point.... Where do you hold your money for your next down payment? Mine is currently sitting in a high yield savings account but the rate has gone down significantly over the last year. Are there any other options anyone has used that might offer a higher return while protecting the principal value (ie: not stocks)
