Tenant screening/verification help

Hello, I’m new to investing and actively looking for a rental property in San Antonio Texas. I’m trying to get my systems in place and would like help with what everyone else uses for tenant screening? I’ll likely be using a property management company but will want to have knowledge on how other people screen tenants to make sure I can manage my property management company myself!
