Spouse Hesitant to Invest

For those of you who have a spouse or significant other who you partner with in investing and they started off reluctant, how did you get them over the hump and to jump in the sweet sweet pool of real estate investing?

We are looking to sell our house, which is going to net us a fair amount. We will be able to put down 20% percent on our next home, and then I have a duplex and a single family home that I am looking at investing  into as rentals. We can put 20% down on those, as well as still have a fair share of cash to use however she seems fit, whether into savings or diversifying our investments.

My wife is more of the financial overseer, as that is one of her strengths, so she kind of has the final say in things, especially when it comes to spending that amount of finances. I have shown her the numbers on these properties, both above 15% COC return.

For those whose significant other was reluctant or if you were the reluctant party but now fully in, what were some different strategies that worked?
