Better.com Terrible Service - Stay Clear of this Company!

For the last 2 months I've been working to buy an investment property. I was about to close on a loan with better.com, and they are now saying they're having a hard time verifying my US residency, causing a potential denial. I'm unsure why/how this is relevant as I'm a US citizen, with US business/banks/brokerage accounts, and all my finances are in the US, though I do spend a lot of time outside the US.

I read this wasn't an issue and even asked ahead of time, but now at the very end they are saying they may deny it, even though I'm probably one of the least risky clients they could take on, and have proven so (with countless uploaded documents).

The property is a single family house in IL for $160,000, with downpayment of 25%, better.com gave 2.75% loan for 30 years of $120,000.

My income is $120-180k+ each year, with assets over $1.5M+. Credit rating 815+, with no debt.

After the application denial, I've emailed requesting them to remove all the data I've uploaded, and delete my profile, and opt out of further communication.  They then referred me to their Data team and now are requesting scheduling a call.  Not interested.  I will be pursuing further legal action if they don't remove my data shortly, I have no interest in scheduling a call with them any further.

Stay clear of Better.com, while the support seems responsive and the website works, this company is terrible to work with.  Thoroughly disappointed.

I am interested in partnering up more long term with a lender that will work with me, as I'd like to purchase 5-10 investment properties in the coming years.  If you are a lender that wants to work together, contact me.

Hope this helps, if you have had any similar experience with better.com, please post here.
