How do you hold your Real Estate?

We currently hold our real estate in an LLC and personal property. When I worked for a small business who owned 6 apartment complexes (1500 beds) and numerous commercial holding. They did everything in numerous LLC. I have met a couple of people and they have mentioned that they used trusts.

I was hoping to get some opinions on what you used and why. I am hoping to buy a few more property this year in a different state. I am debating between another LLC or a trust.
