Investing in Syracuse NY

I am a first time out of state investors looking for insight/advice on investing in the Syracuse NY market.  I have a few properties in mind and would love to hear any lessons learned from investors in the area.

Thank you

Syracuse is great for cash flow and has a few neighborhoods where houses appreciate enough to make an equity play. Amazon is moving in so Id suggest Liverpool would be a town to watch. Move in quick before the people do.

Nick, great idea but Liverpool does not usually have much available that will cash flow like Syracuse, opportunities are few. Mostly single family homes in the 150-190 range around it, the lowest right now are in Clay (there's a 3/1.1 on Surrey for $129k might be a decent flip if they are flexible). Amazon will still affect values in the city as well, only 10 minutes away, I would not discount north side, Eastwood, Mattydale areas.
