Forming a New Hampshire LLC Without Attorney

Howdy all,

What are the drawbacks to forming an LLC without the assistance of an attorney?

In my state of New Hampshire, I can register a new business entity through my profile on the secretary of state website. I do have an attorney and I have paid her to form entities for me in the past. However, sometimes the turnaround times are longer than I prefer, and the fee has not been consistent even when pulling out the rubber stamp.

My current need is for a single-member, member managed LLC. My understanding (from my commercial banker) is that I don't even need an operating agreement for this type of configuration.

If I were to proceed on my own, is there anything I should watch out for to ensure that I'm setup correctly?

Thank you!

--Chris
