Common scams within REI groups for beginning Investors to avoid?
Hi everyone. This is my first post and I'm very new to the Real Estate world in general so please bear with my lack of knowledge. I'm currently in the works of purchasing my first rental and so I've been immersing myself into REI groups and BiggerPockets. What I've noticed is that there seems to be a lot of advertising by proclaimed wholesalers or others offering lending or deals that just feels sketchy. I was curious; what are some scams or other shady practices I and other beginner investors should be wary of?
