Vegas Hotel Room Investment

Hope everyone is well!

This weekend I got a call from my brother about an investment offer for a hotel room at the Elara in Las Vegas. We'd basically buy the room for a set price from the now owner (who reached out to my brother) then pay weekly HOA fees. The owner has explained that he has been able to keep it booked through airbnb. Tomorrow we have a zoom meeting and I'm just wanting to make sure I'm asking all the right questions. Please feel free to share any input that would help me make a wise decision on an investment like this.

I've worked in timeshare in Vegas (not sales, administration) and this sounds like a timeshare contract that someone is trying to get out of and push on to you. They're impossible to cancel and worth nothing. Go on ebay and you'll find thousands listed for $1 and not selling.

Make sure it's not a timeshare before making any kind of decision, Hilton/Elara do sell timeshare.
