Rental Property on land already owned.

I have a 30 acre property with a house already on it that is occupied for a few years but can move into the house after that. I am wondering if I should build a single family home on the property and live in it until I can move into the home and then rent that single family home out or if I should just rent a home until I can move in to the house? I am 21 and considering going back to school. I have a good job but do not know what if I will be needing to move for school in the future. Also the land is 30 acres.
