Own Rental Property vs. Invest in Real Estate Fund

Rachel Fu
Posted

Hey BiggerPockets Community,

This is Rachel. I’m new to the real estate world. Trying to learn as much as I can. Thanks all for sharing the information here!

I want to gather some of your thoughts here about owning rental property vs. investing in real estate fund.

I have busy work schedules so it is very hard for me to do research and manage properties. Hiring property management companies can be helpful, but doing researches can be quite time consuming as well. Invest in real estate fund looks a good alternative option since it is passive and can diverse the risks as well.

I didn’t find a lot of discussion related to this topic so decide to create this forum. Mind sharing your opinions here?

Thanks in advance!
