Need Advise on Connecting w/Out of State Investors
TLDR: I have maximized my capital output but still seeking growth in the southern Indiana market and open to creative investment opportunities
Hey BP squad,
I am looking for advise on how to proceed with the current state of my career and business. For the past couple years I have been involved in the growth of a business in the modular/stick-built homes industry. We have grown substantially this year, but I'm starting to think more about the bigger picture and my own long term goals to build long term wealth. Essentially, I know this business like the back of my hand and want to present this industry as an investment opportunity for out of state investors (passive or active as they would like to be). I know people are trying their best to get into a great value markets like the midwest right now, but my issue is connecting with these out of state folks as I really don't know many.
1. What do you all think would be the best way to try and connect with like minded individuals who want to invest into this industry from out of state? Obviously Bigger Pockets is the first thing that came to mind which led to me writing this post, but I feel like I could be doing more.
2. If there is one common theme I have noticed from all the successful BP Pod interview guests; it's that they all found deals they knew would work and then figured out where the financing would come from later. Would you all think it's best that I pursue these modular/stick-built investment opportunities as I see fit on my time and then figure out how they will be financed after writing offers? Or would it would it really be in my best interest to connect with out of state investors looking to grow their own portfolios from a more passive mindset and then go from there?
Any help or input is greatly appreciated and I would love to connect with individuals who are willing to discuss this further!
Thanks,
Griffin
