Newbie trying to invest in The Washington DC housing market but seems like everything is way to expensive.

 Dont confuse DC and Baltimore because of their proximity. DC is amongst the lowest risk markets in the country, and Baltimore is among the highest risk markets. If you go with Baltimore, just go with eyes wide open to that fact.
