Hi my name is Mathieu.

My wife and I just moved to Austin and we’re just settling down.

We’re renting an apartment right now.

I just moved to the US from Belgium and I’m gonna start working next month.

My wife works and makes around 40,000/year.

We don’t have a lot of savings right now so we thought he’d be good to save as much as possible.

We were thinking about starting our real estate investing journey doing house hacking next year.

What do you guys think? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

That is a good idea. If you do not need to be in Austin try looking outside the area some and buy a duplex/fourplex.
