Am I the only one that is excited that 2020 is near a close? Actually, I can't say that, I am still surprised that the Real Estate market here in Toledo, OH is maintaining a strong and healthy presence.  The first 9 months have been a whirlwind of activity so we are expecting the next 3 to continue to be the same.  My question for everyone is, How are the courts in areas around the country?  Are you seeing a larger increase of the CDC Eviction Moratorium applications being submitted?  How are the judges reacting?

In Lucas County, we are experiencing a fair, yet exasperating process established that finds in favor of tenants struggling to pay rent. Conversations between lawyers representing tenants direct them to contact the landlord/property management company to discuss options. Many tenants are sharing how they have been impacted by COVID or other difficulties. When tenants call into my office, I share with them local resources that have been successful for other tenants through this troubling time. I negotiate payment plans to ensure that we are not only providing a great service to your tenant but ultimately, making sure that our owners have consistent income generated from your properties.
