Do Previous Owner Owes me Rent for Not leaving ?

I bought A small house on 10/2/20 on auction and owner is getting is taking its time to leave.. Can i tell him he also owes me rent for occupying the house? until i get writ of possession in Leon county, Fl. I dont want money, i just want him to understand, its not free so  he respects the week iam offering him.
