Hey Minnesotans,

I am new to real estate, and covid has "blessed" me with lots of time. My current business has slowed way down, and I am looking at only working one week a month for the next few months. I am hoping to find a mentor, or someone who needs an extra hand with their real estate projects. I am open minded, hard working and very handy.

I currently own 1 sfh and am BRRRRing a quadplex right now. Both properties are out of state, but I am hoping to make some MN connections and familiarize myself with local opportunity.

I live outside of Hastings, but happy to travel all over the cities and surrounding areas.

Again, thank you for the response. You are clearly very passionate and that has driven you to a lot of success. I can't help but read an undertone of negativity and judgement here. Getting my license is great advice. I have thought about it in the past, and you bringing it up made me realize how realistic that would be with my new found time. However, there are so many underline jabs of assumption in your post, Im having a difficult time understanding if your response is coming from frustration or fueling ego.

Say I enroll in my first call next week, should I not try to reach out and make connections? Should I not offer my time in exchange for knowledge or experience? You assume I wouldn't be willing to do nitty gritty work, and even bring it up in a degrading way.

I definitely understand the competition side and people not wanting to teach and create more competition for themselves. However I will point out that you don't know me. Whether you met me or not, I'm going to be your competition through my success one day and instead of taking a second to have a discussion with me and learn anything about me, your assumptions were only negative. I am already successful in the business world, and eager and hungry to learn more in the REI world. I appreciate the passion for getting my license. I'm going to do that. I'll see you out there!
