Purchasing first home/rental, can I get an FHA for a rental?

Hello,

I am 21 and about to begin the process of my first home purchase, however I do not plan to live in the house. I currently reside rent free in a paid off family home and am conveniently 10 minutes from work. I plan to continue living in my current home and purchase my first home to begin my real estate journey. Before submitting my application, I would like to know whether it is at all possible to use an FHA and get around the required residency?

@Brianna Cook

Not really... most anything you’d try doing would be mortgage fraud if you were caught.. can’t condone an illegal act, certainly not on a public forum. Good luck
