Just Curious...Any thoughts on the gentrification of Downtown LA?
Just curious to hear what people in the business think about all the new construction in Downtown LA? I saw it coming years ago, and wanted to invest there; everyone around me thought I was an idiot, but yet, Downtown is completely different than it was 10 years ago. Are the prices justified? Will it continue? I see there is still quite a bit more work to do.
In particular, I'm speaking of the area bounded by the USC & the Figueroa Corridor on the south, Cal St. LA artist district to the east, Chinatown to the north, and the refurbished Victorian homes around Adams Blvd/Western Ave./Vermont Ave.
Food for thought: I have a friend that was in the nightclub industry, he told me that Universal City Walk was actually a small scale model for what the major players eventually want Downtown LA to look like.
