Trying to recoup VA refunding fee

Good afternoon everyone. I recently closed on a property and paid a VA funding fee on my VA loan because I thought that I was not a disabled veteran. Turns out that I am a disabled veteran (just don't rate for any compensation) and have been since my time of separation from the military. My question is what options are available to me to recoup that VA funding fee.

Of note, I just closed on a reduced interest rate refinance last week so don't know if this will be more problematic.

Any insights/advice/or even slight ridicule is welcome.  Cheers
