How to Fairly and Safely Include An Overseas Partner

James Moss
Posted

I have a very close friend and former employer in China who would love to invest in real estate in the US. He has lots of cash and I have a remote position, allowing me to travel to profitable areas where BRRR opportunities are. We want to go in together on deals but I have no idea how to present him with actual legal reports, or answer his tax questions (i.e. does he have to pay taxes in the states, where is his protection/liability with the deals). Does anybody have any advice on how to figure these questions out?
