Building a team?

Hey BP,

I have a question as to how to properly build a team of professionals. I have heard over and over how important it is to build a team and I completely agree and see the importance of it. I'm just wondering how you guys have built your teams?

Is finding a RE attorney for example as easy as getting some local recommendations and then calling the office asking if they are accepting any new clients? Same for CPAs, brokers, etc?

I realize it takes time and effort to build good relationships but is that a good start in building a team? I'm looking to really begin to take action now and I know two foundational people I need right now is an attorney and a CPA.

Thanks!

Nick K. We have a family owned business where we are licensed brokers/agenst, general contractor, electrical contractor, and an architectural designer, so it works for us. For you however, let's get some others in here that might give you insight on how they do it. Let's ask Will Barnard James Vermillion Rich Weese to weigh in.
