How to get the downpayment for a house hack?
I’m interested in starting a house hack with a four-plex or similar property. I’ve been talking with a lender and some other smart people about how to get started on this, but I’m also looking to get more input from this community as well. I don’t have much saved up anymore (it’s going towards a wedding and fixing my car), so I’m trying to find out if I would just need to wait to save up for the downpayment, or if there is other ways of getting it. I know the downpayment can be “gifted” but I don’t know where I’m going to find someone willing to throw up to 13k at me... What would my options be from here?
