How do you store your market data?

Great community here, I have been lurking for a while and really learning alot. I was wondering if one of the more experience investers could help me out.

havn't invested in anything yet and am still in college. I am currently doing research on my area/market. I am collecting data on properties, prices, rent rates, taxes, vacancy rates landlord personalities, demographics, mortgage rates ect.

I am currently logging them on excel, but I am not familiar with the commands and formulas to operate excel efficiently, or if it can even do what I need it to do. Does anyone have any programs that work for them? or even templates for excel that they would be willing to share?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post!
