Managing Properties across state lines

Hey guys hows it going? So my wife and I are looking forward to move to Houston, TX to be close with the family but we also don't want to miss an opportunity to invest and make a rental properties or making a flip profit. Basically the housing market in Houston or anywhere in Texas is either saturated with lots of competition or for a very low price where you can get a mobile house (which its a no go). Now we see plenty of opportunities to invest in the east coast in which we would like to make into rental properties. My question is does anybody know or has any experience on living in one state and managing -properties on another, in the obvious example (TX-PA)
