Overlooked Items During Home Inspection
I recently purchased my first property, and I'm not terribly excited about the home inspector's quality of work. The property has a few items that require attention including:
- Exposed wiring in the attic
- Insufficient amount of insulation in the attic (6in. versus recommended 18in.)
- The fact that there's a water heater in the attic (not disclosed anywhere in the home inspection)
- The bathtub faucet's water pressure diminishes to nearly nothing due after only a few seconds of it being on
The issues amount to roughly $2,000, but I'd like to seek out recourse given these issues should have been discovered during the home inspection. How should I proceed?

Insulation is off the table, the water heater is weird but if it is to code then there is no issue. You need to be more specific with exposed wiring; is it actually exposed or is it just not stapled to a 2x4 to your satisfaction?
The water pressure is an issue, but home inspectors are human and on occasion will miss things.
