Property Ownership In Question

Is there something strange about this property? 

When I look up the property owner, it shows a property company, not the "individual owner" I've been talking to. When I asked the owner if he knows the name of the person at the property company who's in control of the property, he told me, "I don't know who that is."

Is there something fishy going on?

Can some deals still be legit when they are questionable in this manner?
