Those starting out and looking to network is by far the most instrumental strategy you will find. This is a people game. Meeting others with like interest will accelerate your career as an investor. Don't shy away from local REIA groups and meetups. This is where you can pick-up off market deals, develop partnerships and above all educate yourself. Yes many of them are selling programs, but be selective on where you spend your money. I have met more people by joining groups and networking. Yes I bought into a program, but I figured it would accelerate my knowledge and career. It did. I own 25 units. I met private lenders and partners. I still made some mistakes, but I think you are always learning. Don't shy away from getting out there and meeting people. It will definitely be worth your time.
