Fees when getting pre-approval from bank

Good afternoon BP community,

I am reaching out to several banks to see what I am pre-approved for to buy a real estate property and I after contacting my own credit union, I noticed that one of the requirements is a $35 Deposit towards the full amount of the credit report.

Is this pretty common from banks or credit unions to ask of this?

Thanks in advanced for helping out!
