Mastermind Group: a peer-to-peer mentoring concept used to help members solve their problems with input and advice from the other group members

Mentor: a trusted counselor or guide

Mastermind Groups > Mentors, no?

@Jay Helms In my opinion they are different and both good.

When it comes to a mastermind group, there is not one individual who is above the others and they all learn from and contribute to each other. However, I have heard of several people without much experience who have wanted to be part of a mastermind group. I personally think that goes contrary to the purpose of the group which is that everyone brings something to the group. It is after all called a mastermind group and not an amateurmind group.

I think working with a mentors over a period of time can help people get to a place where they have knowledge and experience that can contribute to a mastermind group.

I appreciate the post. It brings up the idea for me that I am at a place in my life/business that over the next year, I am looking at joining or starting 2 mastermind groups. One that is national across the US and the other that is local to Arizona. I’ve been thinking about this for the past year but I think that in 2019 I will do it.
