Getting started and no local meet ups

I am getting started purchasing rentals in a rural and generally poor area where we live. Most people rent. Some own. Very few invest. I have been unable to find a meet up within an hour and a half of us. And that distance drastically changes the market. My husband and I are lawyers with our own small firm. We have staff; we can draft leases and do evictions when necessary; and my husband, brother-in-law/office manager, their retired father and a staff member are experienced In building/repairing. We have 3 properties under contract and there is a huge opportunity coming up but my husband is nervous about getting in over our heads. I am so excited about getting started but I am nervous about realities and I feel like a meet up to discuss issues would be helpful.
